An ancient Bristlecone Pine (Pinus longavea) after a summer storm, survives in the Snake Range in a field of talus, Wheeler Peak Grove, Wheeler Peak, Great Basin Nat’l Park, NV. The ancient Great Basin Bristlecone Pine is the official Nevada state tree.
